Bill Introduced To Legalize And Regulate Internet Poker

New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez has introduced S.3616 the Internet Skill Game Licensing and Control Act. The bill, according to its text, “provides for the licensing of Internet skill game facilities.” The bill, which provides for a full regulatory framework for skill games, is an important piece of legislation and the first introduced in the Senate.

This isn't the first piece of legislation proposed to regulate online poker but given the current economic situation and spiraling national debt combined with the visceral hatred for taxation, now may be the time when the congress takes a serious look at this potential source of revenue.
